Apr. 28, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Chinese stocks opened slightly lower on Tuesday morning, following Wall Street losses overnight due to the swine flu outbreak.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A shares and B shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, opened at 2,382.88 points, down 0.93% or 22.46 points from Monday.

The Shenzhen Component Index on the smaller Shenzhen Stock Exchange opened 0.78% lower at 9,011.42 points.
